Suffolk County Council has helped
to secure of an average of £28 million of external funding per
annum into the county over the last 3 years. This funding is
focussed on service improvement (especially in rural areas),
innovation, community development and access to high speed
Broadband services.
Suffolk County Council's External Funding Team has been central to
this external funding success. The team's prime role is the
facilitation of applications from Suffolk to the principle external
funding sources, namely Europe, the Lottery, charitable trusts and
direct from UK Government sources.
The External Funding services include regular funding updates and
fact sheets, signposting to funding sources, Grantfinder and other
web based services, detailed support and assistance in preparing
funding applications, organisational and business development
advice, and high level liaison and negotiation with funding bodies
on behalf of the public, private and voluntary sectors in
Suffolk.
The External Funding Team can also provide some support on a paid
for basis such as detailed evaluation, implementation and detailed
ongoing business case development and implementation.
