Broadband
High speed broadband will provide better opportunities for the
whole of the county to benefit from economic growth, contribute to
improving skills, assist in our aspirations to become the greenest
county and play a part in addressing public sector financial
cuts.
Suffolk's £41m plans to build a super fast broadband network
across the county have received strong financial backing from the
Government. The Department for Culture, Media and Sport have
pledged to invest £11m in the project. This injection of
funding means that Suffolk can move forward with its ambitious goal
to create a broadband network fit for the twenty first century.
By delivering better broadband in Suffolk, local businesses will
be helped to grow, educational attainment will be improved and a
major block to public transformation in Suffolk will be
removed.
