Enterprise and business support

Business 2 Business Trading Platform funded by the County Council and managed by the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce enables companies to access tenders and opportunities for business to business trading.

Business Centres
There are a range of business centres across the county, some of which are managed by the public and not-for-profit sector and others in the private sector.

Eastern Enterprise Hub
Located at University Campus Suffolk, this new facility funded by EEDA and SCC opened with a Summer School in 2010.  The Academy will provide accredited qualifications in Enterprise to young people who often do not fit into the formal education route or who have a keen interest in business and enterprise development. Providing a host of courses and activities for 16-19 year olds, the Academy will contribute to raising levels of entrepreneurship in Suffolk and the wider region.

Developing Suffolk's town centres
SCC recognises the importance our town's play in providing access to services, leisure and retail, as well as employment.  SCC recognises that supporting our towns is critical to maintaining quality services.  Working in partnership with town and District/Borough colleagues, SCC has supported the two Business Improvement Districts in the County (Ipswich Central and Bury Bid), and has recently invested in Lowestoft and Stowmarket.
