Important information: - The Bury St Edmunds office will be
closed from 12 noon on 8th July 2009 for staff
training
The Register Office is located in the historic core of Bury St
Edmunds and can accommodate up to 58 people in the
Georgian Marriage Room and therefore able to welcome wedding
parties however large or small. Many wedding parties use the
award winning Abbey Gardens for the setting of their photographs,
which is a short walk through the avenue of trees. The
Register Office is close to the Cathedral and town centre making it
convenient for the local restaurants and facilities.
Open for birth and death registrations, ceremony arrangements
and general enquiries
- 9am -4pm weekdays;
- closed for staff training on the third Wednesday of each month
between 9am and 11am;
- ceremonies held during weekday opening hours and on
Saturday until 12.30 pm (subject to availability);
- ceremonies at approved venues and religious registered
buildings by arrangement.
Outstation at Palace House, Newmarket
- Tuesday 9am - 4pm
- Thursday 9.30am - 12.30pm
An appointment system is in operation.
Please note
that we are no longer at The Rookery as alterations are taking
place, but temporarily situated at Palace House. We hope to
move back to The Rookery in
September.
